Employment: A Growth - Or- Livelihood Factor

Sab Kehta hai ke: Focus on the depth of Contribution not in the length of it. That’s a very honest quote which I have explored in a popular management journal. I don’t know friends, whether  “JOB”- is considered an option for success or just for living to support our liability. But I do agree the very first thing that we decide after our qualifications is get into employment to secure ourselves & manage our family needs/ requirements. But, does everybody of us agree with me that if we focus only on salary, bonus, incentives, increments, etc we are de-aligning ourselves from successful concrete career options. So, professionals needs to choose when they are out in the job market whether to pick up a job for salary only or gearing themselves towards tomorrow’s fruitful career composition. Even, we all know very clearly that not everybody can become successful, only an exceptional few touch the route of robust growth factor. The reason is simple, their passion to take calculative risk, follow an unconventional process by romancing with real challenges of the world- they curved a niche for themselves in different verticals across.  Today, in this ever changing globalized & emerging context gives a complete new definition towards industrialization & engagement protocols which are extremely creative & collaborative, as a result of that professionals needs to re-install their intellectual capital to become part of change scenario, otherwise it will be difficult for individuals to co-op up. Question here is “how we do that “- It’s just a matter of practicing a framework/ rather designing a new foundation for us to gain our feasibility in career advancement planning (CAP). We need to analyze every bits & processes of our contribution/involvement so that it can open up new avenues to explore & learning.  Employment is certainly meant for remuneration at the end of the day, we all knows about it, but being rationale in relation to our deliverables makes us more defined & clear about our Destiny.  Moving ahead in our career voyage it’s very important for professionals to judge whether our engagement is adding values to our expectations or just for the sake of earnings.  Last but not the least, the choice for career (employment) totally rely on individuals decisions-decide the difference accordingly.

New Edge Career & Corporate Canvas: 


A domain which was very popular among the Magic Letter Institutions/Brands as well as within their graduates to choose one of the most highly acknowledge & niche career directly from campus in relation to growth. Today, this approach is getting much wider among professionals from diverse background belong to different Institutions. This is totally a result of Technology/ Internet Interface which connects us 24/7 with complete information that gives a potential outlook for individuals to choose career which is competitive. Even, corporate houses are also trying to breakthrough with their existing business model in the format of Consulting ( Integrated/ Service Classification) to make it sustainable moving ahead with Change Culture to encounter a robust Client centric – Solution driven platform. Talked about some the Big “C” – Consulting brands- Mckinsey & Co, Bain & Co, BCG, AT Kearney, Booz & Co. & the consulting wings of Audit/ Accounting Firms are the most favourable option for professionals to choose. But in recent trends couples of IT/ITES corporates are getting involved in the same verticals, thereby giving a complete boost to their new evolving business acumen. The nature of employment varies from one – another, either they will recruit directly as an in-house employee ( Contract/ permanent) or as a partner or may involved talent as a consultant with their existing partners & the pay package varies from Established  to New Entry Player, (High- Industry Standards perks). Consulting as a domain requires a complete hardships & understanding of sectoral based specializations as well as operations capability to understand tricks & tracks of gaining value based momentum. But, things & patterns are changing here as well couples of corporate houses are recruiting professionals with diverse skills sets for their consulting wings to define innovation with inclusion. Emerging markets/industry are gearing up with certain set ups of deliverables which leads to creative portfolio of career & organizational composition which is cost effective & more output driven , as a result of that Consulting as an option is getting high valuation among individuals & institutions. That’s an interesting avenue, but it doesn’t mean that everybody & anybody or rather every Organization/Institutions will get into it, it requires huge amount of homework, maturity, understanding & analysis about market/industry, forecasting future, patience, & accepting challenge with proper embedded approach & most important it accepts huge amount of ground up thinking, exposures & learnings to refine the reality. However, it’s completely an intellectual & independent space that nurtures new horizons of enterprising caliber. Well, let’s see how many professionals/corporate houses are passionate about such kind of opportunities in their profiles – but definitely Consulting is next Core --- Are we ready to collaborate & catch up with that.
