Broaden their Quality Yardstick:
Turning with Time:
For the last one
week, single news that makes me feel monotonous as well as nothing new about day
to day issues on newspapers was that about B Schools are struggling to find
placements for their students, because of sluggish economy scenario, but that’s
not the only criteria, there might be many more reasons. It’s not so uncertain,
quite obvious for any people who understand the tricks & techniques of B
schools environment & its operational framework. It looks like Most of
Management Institutions are really at stake to find their proposition perfect
when its comes to Campus – Corporate Connections- including the IIMs (Old/ New
Ones), Non-IIMs category Top ones & also the Non-top Institutes. The reason
is most of the B schools are not moving on a current/up-to-date
curriculum/pedagogy which is market/employer friendly. Even, the faculties are
also not willing to change or to adapt new processs/protocols for student’s
better future & also for their own career growth. The Founders/ Board who
run a specific Mgmt. Institution are also not in a position to drive a
sustainability plan because of their quantity driven approach as compared to
quality criteria (Not-for Profit Inst. - to- Over Profit Inst. motive).As most
of the Institutions believe whatever they offer are the Best of their
deliverables without any feedbacks, which is called Forced Favored Branding to
gain community momentum for admission & to track their revenue on a year
–to- year basis. Well, that fine ultimately education is also a very promising
enterprising propositions, but it will be much more meaningful when we invite
accurate, absolute, emerging & market/industry friendly design in our
pedagogy/ programs & keep engaged on
current trends which will be more realistic, robust & drive the
acceptability factor from wider audiences at large- Student Collectives & Employers/ Markets
& Investors. So, inorder to deal
with not so define markets for Business education in Evolving Times, B schools
needs to gear up their blue prints for Re-Enforcing their Institution Building/
Brand Empowerment exercise in a creative way that illustrates Survivability
with Smartness. Here are some Tips:
a) Develop Research
Centers/ Parks & Incubation space & engage on Industry needs insights/
studies.
b) Strengthen Alumni
Network & Industry Connections thru creative processes.
c) Initiate new
Forums for the best interest of the Students & Employers.
d) Diverse Faculty
Engagement.
e) Link to Independent/ Individuals/ Bodies for
knowledge & information exchange.
f) Promote Innovation
& Enterprising among Teachers & Students.
g) Bring in Interdisciplinary
/Integrated mix in the existing programs design & delivery.
Business educations are always competitive
& costly whereas the ROI (Return on Investments) are totally uncertain. In
order to promise a better return to their client base B Schools/ Management
Institutions needs to Reshape/ Re-Draft their Sustainability Plan for a better
tomorrow with Totality otherwise only a counted few will be categorized.
